One of the big benefits i found using a tripod sprinkler as opposed to a spike sprinkler was that i could adjust the spray height depending on the landscaping and plants. This pretty much reduces or eliminates the need for hand watering those elevated or tough to get places.

Luckily for me i don’t have many unwanted visitors strolling into my garden except for the odd rabbit. But when they did come in, the motion sensor did its job and gave it a little squirt which saved my strawberries.

Getting into the nitty gritty specs of the motion detector, it has a 120 degree field of view and a distance covering 40 feet (sometimes more). Add these together and according to my calculations thats 1600 square feet of protection. Pretty impressive!

While I love my Orbit Garden Enforcer i was also looking for a garden sprinkler with a wider spray range. Orbit has used a 1/2 inch zinc male threaded impact head that can deliver a 80 ft. spray diameter. This worked perfect for the front yard when i placed it in one corner with a 90 degree spray range.

There is also the ability to adjust the spray range to a complete circle motion.
